Andrea Pinamonti will not return to Inter to be the fourth choice striker according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter and Genoa met for talks over Pinamonti yesterday due to the gentleman’s agreement in place which enabled Inter to bring the Italian youngster back to the club but it was decided that now is not the time to spend €20 million to do so.

Ivan Perisic and Eddie Salcedo are both still with the club and therefore bringing in another striker is complicated until Inter clear some space.

Perisic has been linked with a permanent switch to Bayern Munich whilst some reports have suggested that Salcedo may even be chosen to be the fourth choice striking option.

Reports elsewhere in the media have linked Inter with Edin Dzeko and Olivier Giroud for the fourth choice striker role and Sassuolo youngster Gianluca Scamacca has also been linked.
