Inter manager Antonio Conte is hopeful that Arturo Vidal will arrive at the club within the week according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Libero.

Vidal is currently locked in talks with Barcelona over a contract termination which would enable him to join Inter on a free transfer.

There is currently a small distance between the parties when it comes to what Barcelona are prepared to give him as a severance pay compared to what Vidal would like.

Various reports in the Italian and Spanish media in recent weeks have suggested that Vidal has in fact already agreed a contract with Inter, who have been courting him for a considerable amount of time now.

The reports have stated that Vidal has agreed to a two year contract with an option to a third year and that he will earn a salary of €6 million per year.
