N’Golo Kante remains at the top of Inter manager Antonio Conte’s transfer wishlist according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Conte has explicitly requested the signing of the Chelsea and French national team midfielder to Inter management as he considers the player essential to enable the Nerazzurri to take the next step.

Conte thinks that Kante’s signing would have a similar affect to that of Romelu Lukaku last Summer but Suning have been clear, before Inter are to buy players, they must sell players.

Inter’s squad is extremely crowded. Joao Mario, Ivan Perisic and Dalbert are still with the club and there have been no concrete offers nor are there any concrete offers for Radja Nainggolan and Diego Godin, two players who do not necessarily have to leave.

The report goes on to add that Chelsea want €60 million for Kante or €50 million plus add-ons. Kante would like to work with Conte again but for now Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich does not intend to give up on his asking price.
