Danish national team manager Kasper Hjulmand has sang the praises of Inter attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen following his performance in their goalless draw against England earlier on this week.

Eriksen made his 95th appearance for the Danish national team against England in the UEFA Nations League at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on Tuesday night.

“We must have brought Christian more into play. We must have used his fantastic brain and his fantastic feet correctly,” Hjulmand, who took charge of the Danish national team back in July, told Danish news outlet Ekstrabladet.

“I am very impressed with how much control Christian can take in such a match.”

Eriksen joined Inter in the January transfer window in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Ajax player joined Inter on a four and a half year contract but things have not went exactly as planned for him in Milan.

The 28-year-old has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date for the Nerazzurri. In his time on the park, which totals just under 1100 minutes, he has scored four goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
