Inter are aiming to offload Joao Mario before the transfer window closes at the beginning of next month according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Portuguese national team player remains on the sidelines of the Inter project and Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio wish to get rid of him and hope to get as much money as possible for him.

The report from the Turin based news outlet does however go on to state that there is still some time for the EURO 2016 winner to leave the club on a loan with option to buy basis given he is under contract with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Joao Mario joined Inter from Portuguese giants Sporting CP back in the Summer of 2016 but has struggled to live up to expectations during his time with the club. In 69 appearances, he has scored four goals and tallied 13 assists.
