N’Golo Kante is not officially for sale but Chelsea are aware that selling him could be beneficial for a number of reasons according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The French national team player remains a hugely popular player at the club but is no longer seen as important as he once was and is no longer seen as unsellable.
Chelsea are aware that if they are to sell him they could make a significant capital gain on him, offload his big salary and be able to reinvest funds raised through his sale into a new signing.
The former Leicester City player has been strongly linked with a potential move to Inter in recent weeks with Inter manager Antonio Conte understood to have specifically requested his signing.
During the recently concluded 2019/20 season, Kante made 28 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored three goals.
