Inter manager Antonio Conte will count on Lorenzo Pirola this season like he did Alessandro Bastoni last season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Pirola was in and around the Inter first team last season and also made his first team debut for the club and he could be given some more chances in the coming season and learn from Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is a big believer in the talent that Pirola has and many reports have stated that Conte strongly opposed Sassuolo’s advances to sign Pirola in recent weeks.

Pirola is a product of Inter’s youth academy and the highly rated 18-year-old recently put pen to paper on a five year professional contract with the club.

The Italian youth national team player made 21 appearances across all competitions last season, 20 of which were at youth team level. In his time on the park, he provided a single assist.
