Junior Firpo could potentially still end up at Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Spanish full back has been strongly linked to Inter in recent months due to Barcelona’s interest in signing Lautaro Martinez. Some reports have suggested that Barcelona have offered Firpo to Inter as part of a deal for Lautaro but Inter rejected the offers.

Although Inter have knocked back the chance to sign him previously, the report goes on to state that it is possible that he could arrive at Inter on loan, although that would be very complicated, or via a deal for Lautaro.

Piero Ausilio has a meeting scheduled with the representatives of Lautaro and after that meeting he could hold talks with Barcelona over him, even though the Blaugrana appear to have set their sights on bringing in Memphis Depay.

The report concludes that in any case it is really complicated for Lautaro to end up at Barcelona as the situation has essentially remained the same as it has been in recent months.
