Radja Nainggolan is set to continue his playing career at Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian central midfielder spent last season out on loan at Cagliari and whilst the Rossoblu did not hide their desire to bring him back, Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini yesterday confirmed that they could not afford him and described bringing Nainggolan back to the club as impossible.

Cagliari had wanted to take Nainggolan on loan again but Inter had and have no interest in letting him go on a temporary basis.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Nainggolan’s situation is always evolving but barring any unexpected twists, the 32-year-old will stay with Inter.

Nainggolan joined Inter in 2018 in a players plus cash deal from fellow Serie A side Roma. Since joining he has made 36 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored seven goals and provided three assists.
