Inter youngster Edoardo Vergani is set for a permanent move to Bologna according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Vergani is to undergo a medical with the Rossoblu club who have beaten fellow Serie A club Roma to the signature of the Italian youth national team forward.

Last season Vergani struggled for playing time under Armando Madonna in Inter’s Primavera squad due to the fact he was not deemed a player with great potential.

Vergani has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and it remains to be seen what sort of fee that Inter will receieve for the 19-year-old, who has been with the club since August 2014.

Vergani has made a combined 67 appearances between under 17 and Primavera level for Inter, in which he has scored 25 goals, almost all of which came at under 17 level, and provided four assists for his teammates.
