Schalke have a serious interest in signing Inter youngster Lucien Agoume according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The Bundesliga club would like to sign the French youth national team basis but this is not something Inter are willing to even consider under any circumstances.

The Nerazzurri club would prefer for Agoume to remain in Italy and be loaned out to a smaller Italian club where he can go and play regularly and develop as a player.

As a result the chances of him being loaned to newly promoted Spezia are growing and further contact between the clubs is expected today.

The chances of him being loaned out to Crotone are however decreasing with their sporting director currently more focused on signing other players to Agoume.

Agoume joined Inter back in the Summer of 2019 from FC Sochaux and is widely expected to be handed a new long term deal by Inter, who he made three appearances for at first team level this past season.
