Lautaro Martinez’ entourage will meet with Inter soon to discuss the 23-year-old’s desire to play for Barcelona, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Blaugrana were incredibly keen to sign Lautaro, but failed to pay the player’s €111 million release clause back in July, allowing the Nerazzurri to be less open in regard to selling him.

The 23-year-old reached an agreement with Barcelona regarding a five-year contract worth €10 million a year back in Spring, the report continues, and the player wants it to be explained to the club that he still wants to join the Catalan side and play alongside idol Lionel Messi.

In order to satisfy Inter’s demands, the Blaugrana are looking to sell all players unneeded by coach Ronald Koeman. The situation is complicated and considering the lack of large sales, many in Catalonia are not optimistic.
