Arturo Vidal Has Agreed To Terminate Contract With Barcelona & Set To Sign For Inter Italian Media Report

Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal is set to sign for Inter soon after agreeing to terminate his contract with Barcelona, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 33-year-old was left out of the Blaugrana squad for their friendly match yesterday, as nobody wanted the player to risk injury in a meaningless game.

Only signatures are needed now before the contract is fully terminated, which is expected to happen over the next day or two, before the player will fly over to Milan to sign for his new team.

Inter will pay no compensation to Barcelona for Vidal, the report continues, and the Chilean will sign on a free transfer.

Vidal gave up on the last year of his contract and will only earn a part of the €2.4 million in previously unpaid add-ons.

Inter have already agreed a two-year contract with the 33-year-old, worth €6 million net per season, with an option for a third year.
