Genoa are less interested in signing Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia after looking to bring in two different defenders, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Rossoblu are working to bring back 26-year-old Italian Edoardo Goldaniga after the player had a successful campaign in Liguria with the Rossoblu.

Goldaniga will reportedly re-join Genoa from Sassuolo on a loan deal with an option attached to make the transfer permanent.

Another player that Enrico Preziosi’s team are looking to sign is 29-year-old Roma defender Juan Jesus, the report continues, and the player is now only one step away from signing for the Rossoblu.

Considering that the club are looking to sign two defenders, their interest in Nerazzurri centre back Andrea Ranocchia has cooled off.

Contracted to Inter until the end of next season, Ranocchia made 12 appearances across all competitions last season under coach Antonio Conte.
