Former Inter forward Aldo Serena discussed next season’s title race between Inter, Juventus and Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli in an interview in yesterday’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper la Repubblica.

“I imagine a three-way fight between Juve, Inter and Napoli. I respect Gattuso very much, he is doing only right things.”

The 60-year-old Italian then touched on the differences between the transfer market moves of Inter and Juventus. Both teams are working hard to strengthen their squads in order to be better prepared for next season’s title race.

“Even with economic limits, they are both well equipped. I think that the top signing in this window will be the Bianconeri forward. For the rest, I appreciate Achraf Hakimi and Dejan Kulusevski, both destined to become very strong.”

Finally, Serena spoke about Inter’s city rivals, AC Milan, and their work in the transfer window as well.

“As for AC Milan, they are doing what they need to do to get back to their level, and play in the Champions League from next year onwards.”

Inter have already signed Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid and Aleksandar Kolarov from Roma, two players that will strengthen currently poor areas.

Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal is also heavily wanted by coach Antonio Conte and will be the next signing, before the Nerazzurri look to sell in order to fund other investments.

The focus on Inter’s attention after securing Vidal will be Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, who is expected to cost around €50 million.
