Arturo Vidal will terminate his contract with Barcelona today before travelling to Milan to complete a move to Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Vidal’s contract with Barcelona will be formally terminated today and he will be paid September’s salary, perhaps a little more, plus the bonuses he is still due from the 2018/19 season.

His agent Fernando Felicevich and Barcelona reached this agreement on Friday and must now be put in writing.

Inter are waiting patiently for Vidal to secure his release from Barcelona, who they are adamant that they will pay no compensation to.

Inter have been courting the Chilean national team central midfielder for a considerable amount of time and are now closing in on signing him.

Various reports have stated that he has agreed to a two year contract with an option to a third year with Inter worth €6 million a year.
