Inter have announced that goalkeeper Daniele Padelli has signed a new contract with the club until the end of the upcoming season via an official statement posted on the club’s website.

Padelli’s contract with the club was due to expire at the end of June this year but due to the season being extended due to the global COVID-19 pandemic his contract was temporarily extended until the end of August.

The veteran Italian shot-stopper has now returned to the club and signed a contract with the club until June 30 2021.

Since joining the club back in 2017 on a free transfer following his release from Torino, Padelli has served as current number one goalkeeper and club captain Samir Handanovic’s understudy although that is expected to change this season with it having been reported that he will be the third choice goalkeeper.

Padelli has made eight appearances for the Nerazzurri in his time with the club, in which he kept three clean sheets.
