Italian football journalist and transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla has shared his belief that Inter could close the gap between themselves and Juventus in the fast approaching upcoming season depending on their incoming transfer business.

Inter ran their arch rivals extremely close last year in Serie A and ended up missing out on the Serie A title by a single point and for the first time in several years Inter can be considered as being really close to the Bianconeri club, who have reigned supreme in Serie A for almost the entirety of the past decade.

“Inter are on the right path to fill the gap with Juventus, if Vidal and maybe even Kanté arrive, I think they will have closed the gap,” Pedulla explained in an interview with Italian news agency ADNKronos.

Pedulla proceeded to sing the praises of Inter for the transfer business they have already carried out during the transfer window.

“It seems to me that Inter have done things right, Hakimi is among the best full-backs in the world, then Kolarov’s experience and versaility have been added to midfield and with the likely arrival of Arturo Vidal the most Conte-esque midfielder arrives.”

Next Pedulla highlighted what he believes are some of Juventus’ shortcomings and reaffirmed his belief that Inter can have their say in things.

“Juve have shortcomings on the flanks, on the right they have adapted Cuadrado and on the other hand Alex Sandro has returned from a disappointing season. With a couple of right signings, Conte’s team can have their say.”
