ESPN Report Diego Godin’s Move From Inter To Cagliari Has Become Too Complicated

Diego Godin’s move to Cagliari from Inter has become too complicated according to a report from ESPN journalist Moises Llorens.

For a few days now it has been suggested that Godin would swap Milan for Sardinia but Llorens claims that things have gotten complicated.

Llorens goes on to claim that Ligue 1 outfit Rennes, who have also been linked with him in recent weeks, have been in touch with the experienced Uruguayan national team player over a move to the Roazhon Park outfit.

Llorens also claims that Godin’s departure is key to Inter acquiring Arturo Vidal from Barcelona, a player they have been courting for over a year now as the request of manager Antonio Conte who wants reunited with the Chilean national team star.

Godin joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 on a three year contract and in his first season with the club he made 36 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he scored two goals and provided a single assist for his teammates.

Llorens took to social media platform Twitter and posted: “The sale of Diego Godin to Cagliari is getting too complicated. It is key for Vidal’s arrival at Inter. Rennes, who will play in the Champions League, have already knocked on the door of the Uruguayan centre back, key day.”
