If there are no adequate offers made, Inter and the representatives of Lautaro Martinez will concretely discuss a contract renewal for the player at the end of the transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Lautaro’s agents met with Inter yesterday and although one of his representatives, Beto Yaque, described it as a courtesy visit, the report explains that the meeting was a preparatory meeting for the talks at the end of the transfer window.

Inter will offer the highly rated 23-year-old Argentine national team player a new contract until 2025 with an annual salary of €5 million plus add-ons. Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will also try and remove the €111 million release clause in Lautaro’s current contract as part of the new contract.

Last season Lautaro made 49 appearances across all competitions in which he scored a career high 21 goals and also provided a total of seven assists for his teammates.
