Former Udinese and Italian national team striker Antonio Di Natale has shared his belief that it will be a two-way fight between arch rivals Juventus and Inter for this season’s Serie A title.

Last season Juventus won their ninth straight Serie A title but did not win it as easily as they have done previously as they only pipped Inter to the title by a single point in the end.

“Juve always start ahead because they have won nine league titles in a row but Inter are very close this time,” Di Natale explained in an interview with Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in yesterday’s print edition.

“One step was missing, now it’s there. I believe that the next season will be a 2 horse race, between Inter and Juve for the Scudetto.”

Di Natale then went on to discuss the imminent arrival of Arturo Vidal and the return of Radja Nainggolan at Inter following a loan spell at Cagliari.

“With Vidal, Inter adds a lot of quality. They will recover Nainggolan who did well at Cagliari. He has important players in front of him and the strength of a coach like Conte.”

Di Natale concluded the interview with the Milan based news outlet by sharing his thoughts on Conte’s various public outbursts during the 2019/20 season, outbursts which put his future as Inter manager in serious doubt at one point.

“He makes them to attract attention and to seriously get to Juve who he wants to beat.”
