Arturo Vidal is virtually an Inter player but has not yet arrived in Milan to complete the transfer according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter have courted the experienced Chilean national team player for well over a year now and are now on the brink of finally being able to welcome him to the club.

The Nerazzurri club will pay Vidal’s current employers Barcelona a sum of €500,000 plus add-ons which are linked to the performances of the 32-year-old former Bayern Munich player.

The report from the Turin based news outlet explains that Vidal will ‘inherit’ the salary of outgoing central defender Diego Godin, who is set to depart the club for fellow Serie A team Cagliari just a year after joining Inter on a three year contract.

Reports elsewhere in the media have stated that Vidal has agreed to a two year contract with an option to a third year worth €6 million a year to him.
