Benevento have an interest in signing Napoli striker Fernando Llorente according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Mattino.

In the past few days Inter have been in contact with the veteran Spanish attacker over a potential move to the club and this report claims that Benevento manager Filippo ‘Pippo’ Inzaghi has also been in contact with Llorente to enquire about his physical condition.

The report explains that Llorente is intrigued by the prospect of a move to Benevento due to wanting to continuing living in Naples, something that would still be possible if he moved to nearby Benevento, who won Serie B last season.

Last season Llorente, who is under contract with Napoli until the end of the upcoming season, made 24 appearances across all competitions. In just under 700 minutes on the park, the 35-year-old scored four goals and provided a single assist for his teammates.
