Cagliari could move for Inter defender Kwadwo Asamoah according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Nuova Sardegna.

Asamoah barely played whatsoever last season due to a recurring knee problem and Cagliari could pursue a move for the Ghanaian defender in the event that his contract with Inter is terminated, something recent reports have suggested is a possibility.

Asamoah joined Inter on a free transfer back in the Summer of 2018 after his contract with Inter’s arch rivals Juventus expired and his deal with the club is due to expire at the end of the fast approaching 2020/21 season.

Cagliari are not the only club to have been linked with making a potential move for Asamoah in recent weeks or months.

Turkish Super Lig powerhouses Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have both been linked with moving for him as have several German clubs among others.

Since joining Inter, Asamoah has made 53 appearances across all competitions, in which he has provided three assists for his teammates.
