Inter wish to complete a sale of a player before finalising a deal to bring Arturo Vidal to the club according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The sale Inter could finalise is that of central defender Diego Godin, who has reached an agreement over personal terms with fellow Serie A side Cagliari on the basis of a three year contract, Di Marzio reports.

The last obstacle preventing Godin from switching Milan for Sardinia is an agreement between him and Inter over severance pay.

Tomorrow could be an important day and if Godin goes, Inter could finalise the deal for Vidal although it could be the case that Antonio Candreva beats Godin out the door with him subject to interest from Genoa.

Di Marzio also states that as things stand Christian Eriksen’s immediate future is to be at Inter with it difficult to foresee any clubs making an offer for him, especially due to the high salary that he is on at the Nerazzurri club.
