Kwadwo Asamoah could be the next player to depart Inter after Diego Godin leaves according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Godin is set to leave Inter after just a single season with the Nerazzurri. The veteran Uruguayan is set to move to fellow Serie A side Cagliari, who he has already reached an agreement with over personal terms on the basis of a two year deal with an option to a third year which is worth €3 million a year to him.

Asamoah could follow Godin out of the exit door at the Nerazzurri and Inter could propose a contract termination to Asamoah, who has little under a year left to run on his current deal.

The experienced Ghanaian defender found playing time extremely hard to come by last season due to a recurring knee problem and he was limited to just 11 appearances across all competitions.

The former Juventus player has been linked with potential moves to the likes of Fenerbache and Galatasaray.
