Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal is expected to land at 8 pm CET tonight ahead of signing for Inter tomorrow afternoon, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder will cost the Nerazzurri around €1 million plus add-ons from the Blaugrana, who are happy to offload the player and his wages.

Vidal will land this evening and undergo his medical exams with the Milanese club tomorrow morning, the report continues, before officially signing for the club in the afternoon.

At the same time as Vidal’s arrival, Uruguayan defender Diego Godin will officially sign for Cagliari, after only one year in the Lombardy capital.

The player signed as a free agent last summer but struggled to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system and so will join the Rossoblu on a three-year deal.

Losing Godin allows the Nerazzurri to lower their wage bill enough to fit Vidal into the squad without affecting the budget heavily.
