Inter linked Tanguy Ndombele will not leave Tottenham after repairing his relationship with coach Jose Mourinho, according to a report from French media outlet L’Equipe earlier today.

The report details how the 23-year-old Frenchman struggled to impress the former Chelsea and Inter coach last season, with his poor fitness and injury troubles regularly frustrating the Portuguese coach.

Despite a summer in which it appeared that the player would be sold by Spurs, Ndombele’s hard work in training and strong performance against Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv have convinced Mourinho that the player is a valuable asset.

Contracted to Spurs until 2025, Ndombele made 29 appearances across all competitions least season for the North London club, for a total of 1446 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals and provided four assists.

Inter are close to securing a deal for Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal and are still dreaming of signing Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante to finish their midfield.
