A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport analysed Inter’s performance in their final pre-season friendly against Pisa yesterday, which was won 7-0 by the Milanese club.

The report details how Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni lined up in the middle of the back three, in front of Samir Handanovic, due to a slight injury to Andrea Ranocchia and rest for Stefan de Vrij. The player impressed in the role.

Italian midfielder Roberto Gagliardini, who didn’t particularly impress coach Antonio Conte last season, played well yesterday, providing both goals and assists.

Croatian forward Ivan Perisic, who recently returned from a season on loan with Bayern Munich, was deployed as a left wing back, where he had a satisfactory performance.

Christian Eriksen worked hard to please Conte, scoring two goals and creating many plays, showing his creative qualities.

Lautaro Martinez also impressed, scoring a hat-trick and continuing his strong partnership with Romelu Lukaku.

Samir Handanovic hardly featured due to Inter’s control over the game, and Alexis Sanchez failed to find the back of the net in the 7-0 thrashing.
