Inter striker Romelu Lukaku expressed his happiness at the squad’s return to the pitch in a post on his Instagram page yesterday.
The 27-year-old Belgian forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, was the star of coach Antonio Conte’s squad last season, scoring 34 goals and providing six assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
The Nerazzurri beat Serie B side Carrarese 7-0, with both Lukaku and partner Lautaro Martinez scoring braces, with other goals from Ashley Young, Eddie Salcedo and Alexis Sanchez.
