Diego Godin should finalise his move from Inter to Cagliari today according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper L’Unione Sarda.

The Uruguayan national team central defender will undergo his medical with the Sardinia based club today and will also put pen to paper on his contract. This evening or tomorrow at the latest Godin will be announced as the Rossoblu’s latest recruit.

The report from the Sardinian based newspaper goes on to explain that Cagliari have also refused to give up hope of signing Radja Nainggolan from Inter.

Nainggolan spent the 2019/20 season out on loan at Cagliari, who would like to take him for a second consecutive season.

Reports elsewhere in the media have however stated that it will not be easy for Cagliari to do a deal for Nainggolan with Inter against the idea of a loan move without an obligation to buy attached. It is understood that Inter would ultimately like to sell Nainggolan.
