Luis Suarez has reached an agreement over personal terms with Atletico Madrid according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Suarez was convinced to accept Atletico Madrid’s proposal due to the fact they offered him a two year deal and that Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Ángel Gil Marín as well as manager Diego Simeone have been in constant contact with him.
The Uruguayan national team striker has just under a year left to run on his contract with Barcelona and has also been linked with moves to the likes of Juventus and Inter but based on this report he would appear set for a switch to Los Colchoneros.
The soon to be 34-year-old, who formerly played for Liverpool, has been absolutely prolific during his six year spell with Barcelona. Suarez has made 283 appearances across all competitions to date for Barcelona, in which he has scored 198 goals and provided 109 assists.
