Hellas Verona are closing in on bringing Eddie Salcedo back to the club according to a report from Italian football journalist and transfer market expert Nicolo Schira.

As per Schira, Inter giving the green light for Salcedo to return to the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi club, who he spent the duration of last season on loan at, is awaited today.

Schira’s report adds that Hellas Verona boss Ivan Juric is awaiting the young Italian’s return and is also awaiting the return of Matteo Pessina from Atalanta.

Salcedo has played a part in pre-season for Inter but with Inter having brought Andrea Pinamonti back to the club, his chances of playing regularly in the 2020/21 season for Inter are very much limited.

Last season Salcedo made 17 appearances across all competitions for the Gialloblu club. In his time on the park, which was limited to just under 700 minutes due to injury, he scored a single goal.

Schira took to social media platform Twitter and posted: “Il Verona in chiusura per due cavalli di ritorno. Inter’s go ahead for Salcedo is awaited today. In the next few days Setti also plans to define Matteo Pessina’s return from Atalanta . There is the yes of the midfielder. Juric awaits his pupils.”
