There is about a 50-50 chance that Radja Nainggolan will leave Inter for Cagliari according to a report from Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin.

Nainggolan spent last season on loan at the Sardinia based club and also had a previous spell with them earlier on in his career.

Cagliari have far from hidden their desire to bring Nainggolan back to the club and as per Biasin, they are looking to bring him in in a similar formula to the one they brought Diego Godin in via.

“Cagliari are insistent, but are for a formula similar to that used with Godin (severance pay to the player plus a few months’ salary paid by Inter). Will they do it? Let’s say 51% yes, 49% no,” Biasin explained as part of his latest editorial piece for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Biasin then went on to discuss Christian Eriksen’s future at Inter and shared his belief that the Danish national team player could have more room to impress during the 2020/21 season after a difficult first few months at the club.

Eriksen joined Inter in the January transfer window in a circa €20 million deal from Tottenham Hotspur but largely struggled due to his inability to adapt to the 3-5-2 system that was being played.

“Eriksen ? The situation is calm. We don’t have any kind of certainty (as always), but the feeling is that Conte this year seriously intends to try to alternate between 3-5-2 and 3-4-1-2. There would be room for the Dane.”
