Arturo Vidal is not in optimal condition yet but will certainly be available for this weekend’s Serie A opener against Fiorentina according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player completed his long awaited transfer to Inter yesterday from Barcelona and he also trained with his new teammates for the first time.

Although Vidal continued to train with Barcelona whilst he waited on his Inter move being finalised, he never featured in any of Barcelona’s pre-season friendlies therefore it cannot be taken for granted that he will be a starter this weekend given his lack of match fitness.

The former Bayern Munich player, who has reportedly joined Inter on a two year deal with an option to a third year, is also yet to find himself a home in Milan yet and he and his family are currently living at a local hotel, the report from the Milan based news outlet adds.
