It is essential for Inter to sell players if they wish to be able to sign Chelsea central midfielder N’Golo Kante according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter manager Antonio Conte considers Kante as the best possible buy that Inter could make to further improve the squad.

However, Chelsea do not consider the player as being for sale and he is an important player in Frank Lampard’s side therefore the previously mentioned price of €50 million appears to be outtdated.

Inter remain tempted to sign the Frenchman though but it is essential that they make sales in order to raise the funds to sign him.

By completing the planned sales Inter would not only be better off economically but also better off in terms of space in the team, some of which Kante could occupy if signed. A countdown to sign him has started in order to not create illusions prematurely.

This season the 29-year-old has made two appearances across all competitions but he has not made any goal contributions.
