Ivan Perisic Staying Means Inter Won’t Sign New Left Wing-Back Italian Media Report

Inter desire to bring in a new left wing-back has faded due to the fact Ivan Perisic will be staying with the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Stampa.

Inter have long been linked with moving for Chelsea wing-backs Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri but Inter will not be moving for either the Spaniard or the Italian given Perisic can play there and Inter already have Ashley Young and Aleksandar Kolarov, two players Inter manager Antonio Conte requested, there too.

Whilst Inter have cooled their interest in those Chelsea players, they do remain interested in another Chelsea player in N’Golo Kante.

There will be space for Kante to come in as Radja Nainggolan is getting closer to a return to Cagliari. Cagliari are no longer against buying him outright and whilst the formula still needs to be decided, a deal can be done.

Marcelo Brozovic could also soon depart Inter with him currently subject to interest from Paris Saint-Germain. If he departs the club, it really could be possible for Inter to move for Kante.
