Napoli are in talks with Inter over signing Uruguayan international midfielder Matias Vecino Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported on air and via his official homepage, moments ago.

According to the report, the former Fiorentina player is not part of the Nerazzurri project and as such the club are looking to offload him, to lower the club’s wage bill.

Talks between the club’s are ongoing the report continues, as are discussions regarding personal terms between Napoli and the player, with an agreement if found being expected to arrive over the next few hours.

The structure of the deal will, the report continues, be on a loan basis with an option to make the deal permanent but will become an obligation to buy once he has reached a certain number of appearances for the club.

Talks are ongoing, with Inter wanting the option to be set at €18 million, whilst Napoli have so far offered €12 million, but the player has already given the move a thumbs up.

Matias Vecino joined Inter from Fiorentina in the summer of 2017 for a reported fee in the region of €24 million and has since then featured 96 times across all competitions scoring 11 times in the process.
