Cristiano Biraghi has shared his belief that this weekend’s match away to Inter will be a complicated one for him and his Fiorentina teammates.

Italian wing-back Biraghi spent last season on loan at Inter and only left the club at the end of last month but will find himself back at the place he called home last season, San Siro, on Saturday evening when they take on the Nerazzurri.

“A complicated challenge awaits us. We will face a very solid opponent who are continuing on an important growth path, with a great coach.

“They are complete in every department and know each other practically by heart,” Biraghi explained in an interview with Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

Biraghi was then asked what struck him most about Inter manager Antonio Conte when he worked under his guidance last term at Inter.

“The Inter coach is a drill sergeant, he doesn’t give you a breather, he always thinks about how to convey his own principles of the game.

“In a season with him at the helm, Inter finished second place in the league one point behind Juventus and reached a European final. Evidently he has done a lot of work and it has been good.”

The 28-year-old was then asked whether Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is the best striker that he has ever played alongside.

“I really think so. He is a force of nature. He has it all. He physique, technique and speed. I think he is among the five best strikers in the world.”

Biraghi, who is a product of Inter’s youth academy, made 37 appearances across all competitinos last term in an Inter shirt.

In his time on the park, which totalled just over 2100 minutes, he scored three goals and provided his teammates with a total of seven assists.
