Diego Godin’s transfer from Inter to Cagliari will be completed this afternoon according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Godin has been just a step away from joining the Rossoblu club for a little while now but his agent’s commission has delayed things a bit but he will finally put pen to paper on a two year contract with an option to a third year today.

Godin may not be the only Inter player who ends up at the Sardinian club with them still hopeful of being able to do a deal with Inter over Radja Nainggolan, who spent last season on loan with them.

Following the arrival of Arturo Vidal at Inter, the chances of Nainggolan leaving the club have increased and he has made it crystal clear that his first choice would be a move to Cagliari.

Inter are not inclined to grant them any discounts and it seems that the only way a deal can be done is on the basis of a fee paying loan with obligation to buy worth a total of €12 million.
