Napoli signing Matias Vecino would help Inter toward signing Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Despite Vecino being sidelined by injury until at least November, Napoli are prepared to bring him to the club with Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso understood to really like him.

There is currently a difference of €6 million between supply and demand with Inter seeking €18 million for Vecino, whilst Napoli only want to pay €12 million, according to the report.

However, the report continues, there is an agreement over the formula being a loan with option to buy which will turn into an obligation to buy under certain conditions.

The money Inter would gain from the transfer of Uruguayan national team player Vecino would increase the funds available to them to make a move to sign Kante, who Inter manager Antonio Conte dreams of signing.

Whilst his sale alone would not help them sign Kante, it would certainly help the Nerazzurri on their way.
