Uruguayan international central defender Diego Godin has signed for Serie A side Cagliari the Sardinia based club has announced via their official Twitter account moments ago.
Godin joined Inter on a free transfer last summer from Atletico Madrid having spent 9 successful seasons with the Los Colchoneros in the Spanish capital, winning 8 trophies including 1 La Liga title, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Europa League titles.
Diego Godin has signed a 3 year contract with Cagliari which expires at the end of June 2023. He joins Cagiari on a free transfer after only 1 season with the Nerazzurri where he featured 36 times across all competitions scoring two goals in the process.
