Andrea Ranocchia’s transfer from Inter to Genoa should be officially announced at the beginning of next week according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter and Genoa came to an agreement over the experienced Italian central defender whilst he remained unsure on the move but everything has now been settled and his move back to the Grifone, who he previously played for on loan, should be confirmed in the coming days.

It is currently unclear what the agreement is between the two clubs for the 31-year-old, who has just under a year left to run on his contract with Inter.

Ranocchia joined Inter way back in January 2011 and although he played regularly in the beginning, he has found his usage decrease significantly over the past few years.

The former Hull City player has made 200 appearances across all competitions to date for Inter, in which he has scored 13 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
