Milan Skriniar’s sale alone will not be enough for Inter to sign N’Golo Kante according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Tottenham Hotspur are serious about signing Skriniar and if he goes to them, most of the money received would be reinvested into a replacement.

In order to sign Kante, Inter will need at least one more big sale and it could be Marcelo Brozovic or Christian Eriksen that are sold.

AS Monaco timidly moved for Brozovic but never held any negotiations with Inter over the player. Inter also tried to exchange Brozovic for Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey, who is seen as the alternative to Kante.

As for Eriksen, there are doubts of a tactical nature and a lack of chemsitry between himself and manager Antonio Conte. The report does not mention if any moves have been made for him.

Matias Vecino is subject to interest from Napoli and Radja Nainggolan is wanted by Cagliari and their sales would help Inter out in signing Kante, who has already given his consent to a move to Inter but Inter need €50 million to convince Chelsea.
