Inter president Steven Zhang visited the Inter team in training today ahead of their Serie A season opener against Fiorentina tomorrow evening according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Chinese businessman, who is the youngest president in Inter history, wanted to fire up the the coach and the squad ahead of the season.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that Zhang’s presence at the club’s Suning Training Centre in memory of Angelo Moratti is a strong signal in view of the coming season in which Inter hope to be protagonists after coming agonisingly close to achieving success last year.
Inter achieved a second place finish in Serie A last season, reached the final of the Europa League, which they lost to Sevilla and also made the semi finals of the Coppa Italia, where they were eliminated by the eventual winners Napoli.
