Italian football journalist Matteo Marani has shared his views on what the potential arrival of N’Golo Kante would mean for Inter.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is said to dream of the Chelsea and French national team player being brought to Inter but as things stand it is currently difficult for Inter to afford a move for Kante and it is being widely reported that a big name player needs to be sold in order to raise funds.

“I don’t think Inter have an extra budget of €50 million to sign the midfielder they need sales. If Skriniar went to Tottenham for that amount then it would be another move and Kante can get to Inter. With him Inter would be structured in a very solid way, they already are but with him it would be the last step,” Marani explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, yesterday afternoon.

Kante has been with Chelsea since the Summer of 2016 and is still under contract with the Premier League club until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The 29-year-old player, who formerly played for Leicester City, has featured in two of Chelsea’s three games to date this season but in 180 minutes on the park he has been unable to make any goal contributions.
