Inter Midfielder Radja Nainggolan Still Likely To Sign For Cagliari Italian Media Claim

Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan is still likely to sign for Cagliari, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder is still likely to join the Sardinian club, with the player keen to return to the Rossoblu.

Nainggolan spent last season on loan with Cagliari and impressed during his time there, quickly being given the captain’s armband.

The former Roma midfielder made 29 appearances across all competitions last season for the Rossoblu, for a total of 2279 minutes. In that time, he scored six goals and provided seven assists.

Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini has identified Bordeaux’s Toma Bašić as the alternative to Nainggolan.

The 32-year-old Belgian did feature for the Nerazzurri in their thrilling 4-3 comeback win over Fiorentina yesterday, playing the last 16 minutes of the game after being brought on as a substitute. He could still remain part of Conte’s project at the club.
