Inter have made an enquiry for Napoli’s Nikola Maksimovic according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Mattino.

In the past few days Inter have been linked with making a move for Maksimovic amid ongoing speculation linking Inter central defender Milan Skriniar with a potential departure to Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports have stated that given his expiring contract status, the Serbian national team player could well be a low cost option for Inter to pursue to replace Skriniar with.

The report from Il Mattino states that Premier League club West Ham United have ignited an interest in signing the 28-year-old as well and have also enquired about him.

Maksimovic joined Napoli back in the Summer of 2017 from fellow Serie A side Torino and he has since went on to make 73 appearances across all competitions for the club, in which he has scored two goals and provided just as many assists.
