Marcos Alonso could leave Chelsea before the transfer window closes according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Relations between the Spanish defender and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard have soured after Chelsea’s 3-3 draw with West Bromwich Albion at the weekend and he was not included in the squad for Chelsea’s EFL Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur tonight either.
As a result of these events, the 29-year-old could leave the Premier League side. Inter remain interested, despite being covered in that position but Inter remain interested due to manager Antonio Conte, who has always liked Alonso.
In the event that Mattia De Sciglio departs, Di Marzio concludes that Inter’s arch rivals Juventus could also make a move to sign former Fiorentina man Alonso.
This season Alonso has made three appearances across all competitions but he has failed to make any goal contributions in just over 200 minutes on the park.
