Tottenham Hotspur have dropped their interest in signing Inter defender Milan Skriniar according to a report from the online edition of Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The north London based Premier League club have shown a keen interest in Slovakian international Skriniar as of late but have now turned their attention toward signing Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger instead due to Inter’s demands for Skriniar, which they deem to be excessive.

The report goes on to explain that as a consequence of Skriniar looking unlikely to move to Spurs now, Inter are now further away from signing Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante as Inter need the money they would get from Skriniar’s sale in order to move for Kante.

Kante costs a lot, with Chelsea understood to want between €50-60 million, so a big sale is required. Other than Skriniar, Marcelo Brozovic and Christian Eriksen could both be sold but at this time no suitable offers have been made.
